Mark One has developed a proprietary main board to obtain the total control of all processes to increase the reliability, simplicity of management and quality of printed products.

Thanks to closed-loop motors, the printers are able to automatically detect failures while printing, such as step losses on one or more axes, and apply corrections accordingly.

The GUI of the machine consists of a 15'' touch display. Printers can also be controlled remotely through computers, tablets and phones.

WORKFLOW

The first group of user-addressed features includes notifications and the possibility of optimizing the production process. The software installed in the printer allows the user to change the print queue directly from the printer, which notifies the user when printing is complete or in the case of an important notice; for instance, if a printing issue occurs or if the materials loaded on the printer need to be changed. The quantity of material is constantly monitored and if the material is running out, the user gets is notified so that a new spool can be used. While the printer is working, the user can see a live stream of the print status via webcam.

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION

Some features focus on the automation and efficiency of the printing process. The print temperature is now pre-set within a software: therefore, when a new material is loaded into the printer, there is no need to set the print settings. This leads to fewer interventions on the printer and less time to devote to ancillary activities. Furthermore, the printer is able to detect motor step losses and carry out correction operations, avoiding costly material waste and time. The heatbed is automatically adjusted to ensure a reliable printing process.
