WHY CARBON

Mark One - line

Carbon fiber is one of the most potentially useful materials in the future of industries. To date, the widespread/extended use of carbon fiber is difficult to imagine due to the high costs associated with the processes involved in the production of carbon fiber products. With 3D printing it will be possible to create components with its extraordinary mechanical strength and low weight.

PATENT PENDING

Carbon lamination is a complex process that requires the experience of a skilled craftsman. Carbon fiber rolling processes are multiple, long and complex. For this reason, they are expensive for the customer who needs small batches of light and highly resistant components. The more complex the geometry, the more time and costs increase.

The experience gained in the Automotive sector has allowed Mark One to develop a technology that, through 3D printing, solves definitively, for each customer, the critical points of this type of processing.

With Mark One, it is now possible to producelaminated monobloc components without joints and without the use of moulds. This allows the client companies to save more than 50% in terms of both time and costs, compared to conventional methods. In addition, tolerances of internal geometries and volumes are maintained, even in the most complex components.

Carbon-fiber filled polymeric components are used in applications where high mechanical performance is required, resulting extremely strong and lightweight. They can be used in different situations within the company.

In fact, their application ranges from the R&D process, where they can be used for the production of control and functional prototyping components, to the production of final components with high performance characteristics.

A further use of these components lies in the creation of support elements for the normal activities of the departments such as quality control and production, creating templates, brackets and tools.
