The protective mask made by Mark One exploits of the benefits of 3D printing to meet the current need of fighting back the high propagation of the coronavirus. The purpose of this mask is to help prevent and limit the spread of the virus, providing a valuable protection tool for those who work or live in contact with many people.
The 3D printed protective mask is different from the conventional masks used so far: it is a cover in which the filters are placed, which can be replaced several times a day without having to change the mask completely.
The Mark One mask is designed to ensure its structure cleaning and disinfection so that it can be easily reused, reducing costs and waste. Its durable and lightweight construction allows you to reduce the time of production, making it available quickly.
Moreover, it is made with a particular plastic, sensitive to temperatures, whose properties allow an easy shaping of the mask directly on the face. The adaptation of the cover to the face allows to reduce considerably the not adhering to the faces spaces, making it become an even more effective protection tool.
